A 5* Hotel part of the Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Dubai, UAE is looking for interns who are interested to take operational internship roles in various departments. The company is in need of program participants who may be available for a program-start between June and November 2021, for a 12-month program duration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– F&B Service intern: Prepare the room and the tables; Help in presenting the menus to customers; Take orders from customers; Serve dishes/drinks; Clear the tables if necessary; Check and manage stocks of raw materials
– Restaurant Operations intern: Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment; Assist in cooking food; Ensure food and other items are stored properly; Check quality of ingredients
– Bar intern: Assist in mixing beverages; Take beverage orders from customers and serve them; Collect money for drinks served; Clean & organize bar area
– Front Office intern: Perform check-in and check-out tasks; Assist in the management of reservations; Communicate relevant information with customers; Inform customers about payment methods
– Guest Services intern: Welcome guests in a friendly, professional way; Address and cater to customer complaints; Provide information about facilities, programs, and other services
– Housekeeping intern: Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, & polishing; Ensure rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards; Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
– Culinary Arts intern: Help in the preparation of dishes; Learn how to present dishes; Sort and clean the kitchen; Follow-up stocks
– General: Demonstrate high levels of customer service; Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance; Assist other departments whenever necessary; Other related duties under the supervision of managers/trainers

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
– enrolled student (for a Bachelor’s Degree, Post-Graduate Degree, Master’s Degree) ‘OR’ recently graduated student within 12 months of graduation
– accepted major of study (not limited to): hospitality & hotel management, business management, marketing, international business, restaurant management)
– at least 18 years of age
– college/university endorsement required
– available for a period of 12 months
– fluent in English (second language is a PLUS)
