• Update and discuss all operational issues pertaining to Cargo and Baggage Transportation with the Duty Manager to ensure that the operation is effective.
• Create awareness amongst staff members about the company’s policy with regard to the safety and security measures through the Daily Briefings / De-briefings. Ensure that all staff members under the jurisdiction adhere to and maintain discipline as per the company’s policy at all times.
• Investigate, conclude and document incident(s) and/or accident(s) involving QAS resources as well as instance(s) of service lapse due to Cargo and Baggage Transportation services.
• Manage an overall safe on-time performance of all Customer Airline flights and plan resources/equipment for the next 24 hours to have an effective and safe operation.
• Respond and coordinate QAS resources, in coordination with respective department officer to support activities relating to an airline / airport emergency situation.
• Coordinates with Supervisors and Workshop Officers in advance to provide transport units or any other vehicle maintenance to ensure that the units are in good condition and to avoid any service delays for arrival and departure flights.

• An ideal candidate will have a minimum of High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent and 4 years of job-related experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of job-related experience
• Experience working in an Airline / Ground Handling Company pertaining to Ramp functionalities of which last 3 years at a Supervisory level.
• Experience dealing with Customer Airlines and Authorities including Emergency response.
• Holding or able to obtain valid Airport Vehicle Operation Permit (AVOP)
• Holder of Qatar / Home Country Light Vehicle License
• Fully conversant with all office applications on the PC.
• Ability/Experience to manipulate situations with available resources, constrained Airport facilities, disruption and delay handling; dependent upon the flight operational profiles.

• Certification in Supervisory / Leadership / Management Training.
• Experience liaising with internal and external customers in order to ensure proper resources and facilities available to meet the operational needs.
• Ability to handle emergency situations whether Air or Landside.
